Practitioner Profile | Sian Pascale, Founder of The Light Collective

"...I am 40 and we accidentally got pregnant! I also think that years of healthy living, clean eating, yoga, and meditation as well as not drinking alcohol for the past 8 years had a huge effect on my fertility."

-Sian Pascale

Why did you start your practice?
I started meditating at 16 when I had debilitating migraines, they stopped from daily progressive muscle relaxation! I started practicing yoga at around 15 but got more serious when I was about 19. I was always really interested in it, even as a young person, but going through Architecture School I needed a way to decompress. Yoga provided that for me and opened me up to a new world.

What drew you to do this work?
I think I have always been a deeply spiritual being, but never really considered it as a career path early on. It wasn't until after my Yoga Teacher Training at the age of 31 that I felt a call so strong that I had to give up my career as an architect.

What do you enjoy the most about your work?
I love the way the Light Collective teachings, change people's lives for the better, from the inside out. Every single person who goes through our courses and training has the experience of feeling something. I love to be part of the awakening spiritual process, it feels like a great honour and a gift.

What is the most memorable thing you can tell someone about your job?
My preconception journey involved some supplements and a few changes in diet, but mostly it focussed on the energetic and spiritual aspects. I did a lot of divine feminine work from our course The Sacred Woman, to clear my yoni and body energetically and create life force, power, and lots of sensuality! My partner and I did a lot of conscious connection work and intention setting. I was also working at the time with a Tantrik mantra to invoke the Goddess of Youth and Vitality, I feel like it helped because I am 40 and we accidentally got pregnant! I also think that years of healthy living, clean eating, yoga, and meditation as well as not drinking alcohol for the past 8 years had a huge effect on my fertility.
In terms of postpartum, my preparation is beginning now. I was gifted by my beautiful friends a postpartum ayurvedic food delivery service (dream!) Also, I am planning to dive into the work of Dr Oscar Serrallach who specialises in postpartum recovery, and am working with a naturopath Lalita Yagnik who is passionate about me getting nutritional support. I am hoping to be able to take the first 42 days of my baby's birth completely off work- which is hard when you run a business!
